Arts and Culture

Eureka is home to a vibrant cultural community; a bright beacon of creativity that calls people from far beyond the North Coast.

Offering fine and performing arts, larger-than-life murals, and a variety of exciting events, Eureka has been designated a California Cultural District City for its passionate commitment to local businesses and the arts community.

Jaroujiji is the Wiyot name for what is now known as Eureka and means “where you sit and rest.”
