An Afternoon of Jazz with RLAD at the Morris Graves Museum of Art

RLAD will liven up the Rotunda with authentic style Jazz from the 50s and 60s, during An Afternoon of Jazz at the Morris Graves Museum of Art, Sunday, October 22nd, from 3:00-5:00pm.

 The RLA trio has been playing jazz and jazz fusion together for many years. They have played nearly every venue in the county, and have been the host band at Westhaven Center for the Arts for almost a decade. Together, they create their own unique style of jazz fusion. RLA consists of Tim Randles- piano, Mike LaBolle- drums, and Ken Lawrence- bass… with the recent addition of Doug Marcum on guitar, making the “RLAD” quartet.  Doug is an amazingLos Angelesstudio guitarist who has recently relocated to Humboldt County.  

Members of the band have played in Europe, Africa, Hawaii and Los Angeles and have been the featured artists at nearly every venue in Humboldt. RLA has been the host jazz band at the Westhaven Center of the Arts for 8+ years and has hosted the best jazz musicians and singers in the area to play there. They are currently the house band at Larrupin Café and Tim and Mike have been the Dell’arte house band for over 10 years.
