Katharina Meerle lived and worked as a pianist and composer in Vienna, Austria, before moving to Humboldt in 2016. Goodshield Aguilar is a Lakota/Pasqua Yaqui Native from California, who has been playing traditional and Native Soul music locally and internationally for more than 20 years. They've been married for 7 years and have been playing music together ever since. They perform both solo and as a duo. For this Arts Alive event, they will be playing together as a band/duo and will be sharing both original music and some famous favorite cover songs. The audience will gain insights into some aspects of tribal culture expressed through storytelling and music, a feeling of enchantment through magical piano music and more. ..
