An evening of Art and Music with The SoHum Girls

The SoHum Girls will entertain museum-goers at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Saturday, March 5th,  from 6:00-9:00 pm for Arts Alive! The SoHum Girls consists of; Julie Froblom- saxophone and flute, Marla Joy- bass, Chris Manspeaker- guitar, Marcia Mendels- vocals and keys,

Bill Moehnke- drums and vocals, and Brigette Terry- vocals and percussion. Visitors can expect a spirited performance of original songs about life, love, Humboldt County, and the pursuit of happiness!  The SoHum Girls write across many genres, from funk to New Orleans second line, R&B to ballads, rock to blues to jazz…. everyone will find songs that make them smile and move! 

Make sure to visit each of the galleries while you’re in the museum Saturday night too! Lay eyes on our continuing exhibit,  ANALOG, by Bernadette Vielbig, as well as our newly installed exhibits, The Youth Arts Festival, art from the youth of Humboldt County, and an exhibit by Cal Poly Humboldt’s Bachelor of Fine Arts graduating class of 2022. Exhibiting artist, Bernadette Vielbig, will perform a reading from her work at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Come enjoy a free night of art, spoken word, and music at the Morris Graves Museum of Art, from 6:00-9:00 pm on Saturday, March 5th, for Arts Alive!
