Join us at the Morris Graves Museum of Art on Sunday, May 1st at 2:00pm for Art Talk with local installation artist, Nancy Tobin. Celebrate all forms of renewal and creation this May-Day by dropping in for a guided excursion with the artist as she leads you through her wild and fantastical installation “Journey to the Center of the Milks”, an underground lair where the “Divine Feminine” reigns. Liberate your mind by experiencing a personal story told through un-abandoned play. She'll tell you the story of, and meaning behind her process, traveling from the Stuffed Volcano to the Insatiable Fridge to the Giant Tortilla Tent and ending at Crocodile Lagoon. Let Nancy and her Purple Crayon lead you to the Center of the Milks, the place of Power that's available to all who dare to enter into the intuitive state with their Creator, because our world is a reflection of our thoughts…
Nancy’s tour of the installation starts at 2:00 pm and a hands-on workshop begins at 3:00 pm where visitors will work together to create “a humorous milk fountain” out of recycled materials that will later be installed at Outer Ruminations, an outdoor art installation festival in Table Bluff on the weekend of June 11th. The suggested donations are $5 adults, $2 seniors/students/military, FREE for Humboldt Arts Council members, children under 17, and families with EBT card
