PacOut Green Team is a group of avid outdoors people in Humboldt County, CA that are passionate about keeping our outdoor spaces free of litter and debris. We call ourselves the “Home of the weekly 60-minute cleanup.” We understand that people have busy schedules. Hosting weekly 60-minute cleanups every Saturday between 9:00 am and 10:00 am allows people to still enjoy their weekend while keeping Humboldt County beautiful. Picking up litter is not something you do once or twice a year. It’s a way of life. By creating short and consistent cleanups, it’s allowed other people/organizations to embrace this way of life.
This weeks cleanup is sponsored by Picky, Picky, Picky Stores and is in collaboration with Eureka Police Department’s CSET Team. The event will focus on garbage and litter along the Eureka Waterfront Trail and abandoned homeless camps along the train tracks.
We will meet at the Samoa Bridge Launch Facility parking area underneath the bridge at 8:45 am to sign in. The cleanup will start at 9:00 am and it will end at 10:00 am. We will meet for a group photo and raffle at 9:45 am and finish up at 10:00 am.
