Sequoia Park Zoo celebrates 1 year anniversary of Redwood Sky Walk

Sequoia Park Zoo will celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the Redwood Sky Walk’s Grand opening with a daylong festival of family fun on Saturday, June 11. Activities, including Sky Walk strolls narrated by redwood canopy experts, begin at 10 a.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. Zoo Director Jim Campbell-Spickler will present a tree-climbing demonstration at 1 p.m. and animal encounters and limited-edition postcards commemorating the one-year celebration of the Redwood Sky Walk will make the day extra special for all guests. Mark your calendar and make plans to come out and see why Eureka’s Redwood Skywalk has been featured in more than 200 different travel features in the last twelve months, including Conde Nast Traveler, Lonely Planet, Sunset Magazine, the New York Times, the LA Times, MSN.com, Frommer’s, Outside Magazine and more. Beginning Monday, May 30, the Zoo will expand its hours to 10 a.m.-6 p.m., seven days a week.
