Know Before You Go

The City of Eureka is a great vacation destination that offers plenty of fresh air, socially distanced entertainment, and easy access to outdoor adventures and relaxation.

While you are here, all visitors are asked to join with the local community in taking simple steps to keep each other safe, healthy, and ready to enjoy all that Eureka has to offer.

While you are making plans to enjoy Eureka’s historic waterfront, visit the diverse local shops and restaurants, take in abundant local art and architecture, relax on our ruggedly beautiful beaches, and play in Humboldt County’s renowned local parks and forests, please also plan to follow the guidelines below.


Wear a mask over your nose and mouth when in public

Avoid crowds and stay at least 6 feet/2 meters (about 2 arm lengths) from anyone who is not traveling with you

Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizer (with at least 60% alcohol)

Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth

Cough/sneeze into your elbow

Stay home if you are feeling unwell

Monitor state, local, and national public safety updates and travel advisories
